Centerpieces?

I'm realizing that I think the centerpieces might scare me the most. is that lame? What if they're dumb? Does anyone really even care? And is it dumb that I don't want cliche red roses? I mean with ALL the flowers in the world, I'm SURE I can find something more unique and prettier than dumb roses. I mean, roses are okay, but I feel like they feel so matronly.

I had panics driving in today about flying up to Pittsburgh in January for Kate's baby shower. What if my plane crashes? Mike would be left without me. At least when we go to Chicago in April we'll be together if the plane crashes. 2 years ago, Mike's cousin and her fiance were in a car accident and the fiance died. That poor girl thought she'd found her one, and he was taken from her before they even had a chance to start. So not fair, and I don't want to do that to Mike. He says he'd be less worried about me flying, but I've driven to Pittsburgh several times, and I'd take a friend, and probably a dog... I think it'd be fine and FUN. Plus save us $200 we don't have on a plane ticket...

Just avoiding the work... I should work though.
